The B-4 has represented the standard of Blade’s bass guitar range since it was first unveiled to the public back in 1989 when it collected the prestigious ‘Innovative Instrument of the year’ award in Italy.
The B-4's outstanding versatility is one of the main reasons behind the popularity and success of this gorgeous bass guitar, if you’re seeking that vintage roar and rumble, thundering mid-range or piano-wire slap, the B-4 does it all. The tonal flexibility within the B-4 can largely be accredited to the extensive control section, which allows for fantastic in-depth tweaks to your tone, ensuring the B-4 from Blade is able to adapt well to almost any playing style.
With the B-4, Blade have taken the best characteristics of classic basses and added to it, greater playability, more flexibility, more tone – and breathtaking looks. What more could you ask for!
STUNNING SWAMP ASH BODY!
The B-4 is certainly up there when it comes show-stopping looks thanks to its sleek, slender curves & gorgeous contours which really do lend themselves magnificently to the ‘Sunset Purple’ finish. The body itself is made of Swamp Ash, which again makes for a real visual treat and is particularly known for its brighter tonality.
The smooth playing neck of the B-4 is made from Canadian Rock Maple, a solid wood often described as a staple neck wood for bolt-on neck guitars.
