Unveiled exclusively for Moogfest 2019’s engineer pass holders, the Moog Spectravox emerged as a beacon of 10-band spectral vocoder processing among several discerning synthesists at Sweetwater. To their surprise, its updated form and functionality are finally ready to integrate into any synthesis rig, bearing Moog’s classic fat analog character with a collection of iconic and versatile parameter controls. It all starts with an onboard VCO, spectral shift controls, and expansive program input options, allowing the Spectravox to yield a vast array of sound possibilities, from shaped ambient drones to unique vocoder patches and beyond. Likewise, a 3.5mm patchbay introduces a seamless path to several internal and external sound controls, along with a 1/4-inch XLR combo input for microphone, instrument, and additional sound source processing. Complete with an included 12V power supply and pro-designed preset overlays from the patching experts at Moog, Spectravox has never been more ready to apply exclusive audio processing to nearly any instrument foundation in the books.
